- Part 2 of IELTS Speaking:
You are shown a written question (commonly known as 'cue card') which has a question followed by four sub-questions. You are given one minute to think about what you are going to say. You are given a paper and pencil. You can make notes in the given one minute (whether you make notes or not will not affect your IELTS speaking band). You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.
You cannot see any timer (watch, etc.) during the test. So, the examiner will tell you when to start speaking and the examiner will tell you when to stop. So, when you practice, keep this in mind.
Part 3 of IELTS Speaking: Part 3 is a conversation between you and the examiner. This part is commonly known as the follow-up questions to Part 2. However, do keep in mind that they could be very loosely related to the part 2 question and they are certainly not a follow-up of what you spoke about in part 2.
