Sample Answer 1

Well, let me tell you about this inter-department folk dance competition that I participated in during my college days. The department head chose me to lead the group and we had an informal audition. Finally, a group of ten students including me were chosen who shared the same passion for dance. Then, we had a brainstorming session about which folk dance to perform. I was elated when we decided to showcase the Dogri Dance from Jammu, which is the traditional dance of my native place.

We worked tirelessly for weeks, rehearsing every day to perfect our moves and choreography. It was a challenging task, but we were all so dedicated and driven to win the competition that we managed to pull it off. On the day of the event, we were all excited and nervous at the same time, but we were ready to give it our all.

As we took the stage, we were adorned in our traditional costumes, which added to the authenticity of our performance. We moved gracefully, and the feedback later was that our energy and enthusiasm were infectious

The feeling of accomplishment and pride that we felt after our performance was indescribable. We had worked so hard, and it had all paid off. It was not just a competition; it was a learning experience for me too. I got to learn so much about my culture and traditions, and it made me appreciate them even more.

It was a fantastic experience that I will always cherish. It brought us closer as a team, and we made memories that we will always look back on with fondness.
