- How to begin your answers in Parts 1 & 3 of IELTS Speaking
Since Part 1 & Part 3 of IELTS Speaking comprise conversation between you (the candidate) and the examiner, using a variety of beginners in the answers can boost your vocabulary score. Also, it can help you earn a high band because it makes you sound more natural.
These beginners also give you 'thinking time'--time to think about what you're going to say.
So, the most common beginner that you should practice is 'Well'. Whenever you are unsure about what to say, practice beginning your answer with 'Well'.
