Weather (Part 1--IELTS Speaking)
Question:
What's the weather like today?
Sample Answer 1:
The weather is rather pleasant today. It even rained a bit earlier in the day today. I wasn't really expecting that but I have to say--it was a pleasant surprise. Certainly, a welcome respite from the heat of the last few days.
Question:
Is there anything special that you do when the weather is pleasant?
Sample Answer 1:
Oh yes, I love to go for long drives. Or if I'm at home, I try to sit by the window with a book...and of course, a cup of tea. But it's not always possible. Usually, it's a working day and that means the routine slog.
Question:
Do you prefer summer or winter?
Sample Answer 1:
Oh, winters any day. I find summer sweaty and uncomfortable. Winter, on the other hand, is a delight. And another added point in favour of winter is the winter clothes which I have a penchant for.
Question:
Have you always liked winter?
Sample Answer 1:
Well, I think so. Even as a kid, I used to love playing outdoors in winter. And I have always had a thing for colourful coats and jackets. Also, the fruits we get in winter are also much better.
Question:
Does the weather ever affect your mood?
Sample Answer 1:
All the time. As I said, I find extreme heat exhausting and uncomfortable. So, I'm usually irritated during peak summers. In contrast, you'd generally find me in a perky mood during pleasant weather.
